Contrary to what was announced last week and for security reasons, iA Financial Group's Incident Coordination Centre recommends keeping the use of Purolator shipping service to a minimum.
Exceptions
Disability, death and critical illness insurance benefit cheques continue to be sent to beneficiaries via Purolator. However, longer delivery times are to be expected.
Here are some alternatives:
- Sending cheques to Career agencies or MGA offices
-
- If this option was already the delivery choice on file, the service is maintained.
- In case of a new request to send to agency, here’s some important information to bear in mind:
• Before making the request to send the cheque to the agency, you need to confirm that the client is willing to go to there;
• Cheques are sent on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week. Delivery may take longer than usual;
• Before going to the agency, we encourage the client (or you) to check with the agency if the cheque has arrived;
• As the advisor, it's your responsibility to make sure the client picks up their cheque.
- Disability benefits: change of payment type
The Client and Partner Contact Centre (CPCC) will accept to change the type of payment from “Cheque” to “Direct Deposit” if the client's bank details are already on file, or if their advisor confirms that they are correct. Please note that the CPCC does not accept new banking information over the phone. The client must provide the pre-authorized debit (PAD) agreement.
