Post issue underwriting (PIU) process: the Business Tracker tool at the heart of this new initiative!
iA Financial Group is always striving to improve your everyday experience. This is why we are now improving the follow-up of PIUs.
- As soon as a PIU file is initiated, you will be notified in the Business Tracker tool of the Advisor Centre.
- The decision, following the analysis, will also be sent to you through Business Tracker instead of being sent by mail. You will therefore have the opportunity to prepare in advance for possible questions from your client.
- Decision letters for modified or rescinded policies will be mailed directly to the client. Please be advised that they have been completely revised and harmonized.
- Reimbursement cheques will be sent to clients as soon as possible.

Review of standards for psychological disorders
Since the end of January, we have revised certain standards regarding psychological disorders. These changes now position us in line with the industry, while improved decisions for more than 25 conditions will allow you to offer your clients greater coverage potential.
If you have a client with a particular condition and would like an opinion before submitting a new application, you can send your request for a preliminary opinion to opinion-prelim@ia.ca.
