New compensation model: CB2 is now available
1:58

A new compensation model has been added to iA segregated fund offerings: the 2-year chargeback (CB2). This new option combines a competitive sales commission and a 24-month commission chargeback period.

In an evolving market, CB2 gives you more flexibility to choose the compensation model that best suits your clients' investment timeline.

Key takeaways

CB2 combines:

  • A competitive sales commission1.
  • A 24-month commission chargeback period.
  • A simple and easy-to-understand compensation structure.

The chargeback schedule applies as follows:

  • If a client makes a redemption during the first two years, a portion of the sales commission may be clawed back.
  • The chargeback rate is 100% for the first year, then gradually decreases until it reaches 0% by the 25th month.
  • No chargeback applies when the client withdraws an amount that does not exceed 10% of the market value of the funds as of December 31 of the previous year, plus 10% of deposits made into the funds during the current year.

Why add CB2?

Adding CB2 enhances the current offering and positions iA Financial Group as one of the companies offering the most compensation options (FEL, CB2, CB3, CB5 and F-Class). You can choose from several approaches depending on your business model and each client’s situation.

CB2 may be of interest to you if you want:

  • An attractive initial sales commission.
  • A shorter chargeback period than the CB3 and CB5 models.
  • Greater flexibility to align with your clients' investment timeline.

Always in the client’s best interest

💡As with any compensation model, your recommendation should consider your client’s needs, goals, investment horizon and situation.

You can also count on the support and guidance that set iA Financial Group apart.
