Take advantage of a social media platform made up primarily of young people!
In last week’s article, we covered recruiting using Facebook and LinkedIn. This week, we want to discuss Instagram, a network that’s overflowing with young talent you could recruit!
With one billion active users every month, two-thirds of whom are 35 or younger, it may be very beneficial for you to integrate this social media platform into your recruiting strategy.
Because of its more informal nature, Instagram gives you greater freedom when creating your ads. For example, you can post job offers on your news feed, IGTV or even in stories:
You can also use Instagram to showcase your business and promote your culture interactively. Post, for example, pictures of your office or your teams to further encourage those who are interested to apply!
Here are a few recommendations that will help you get more applications:
- Make sure to have a professional Instagram page.
- Use good hashtags, e.g. tagging your city or using words to describe the picture and that are related to job searching (#career, #job, #finance, etc.). Read this article to find out more!
- Personalize your pictures to give them a more familiar look.
- Encourage interactions with your posts by asking questions.
- Interact with your followers in the comments section.
- Positively interact with other pages to boost your visibility.
And, feel free to share your colleagues’ job offers and ask them to share yours. This will give you greater visibility and allow you to reach even more candidates.
