Good news! As part of our continuous improvement efforts, we have revised and enhanced our participating account explanatory and overview documents.

Please take a few moments to review the additions made to the documents, which will help you in answering questions about the calculation of annual dividends and the management of iA PAR account assets.

 

New participating account explanatory document: Enhanced details and visuals

This document explains the calculation of dividends and the evolution and allocation of account assets.

In it, you will find:

  • More details on the factors that determine the current scale rate and on the factors that influence the calculation of annual dividends.
  • New! A representation of the relative importance, over time, of asset returns compared with other experience-related factors (such as mortality, expenses, lapse and others) on the calculation of dividends. 
  • New! A visual representation and full explanation of the factors influencing the growth of the participating account. 
 
It is also important to remember that the participating account, with its strategy and differentiating features, protects the interests of participating policyholder clients at all times.

New participating account overview: Useful additions

The purpose of this document is to present quarterly changes in asset class allocations and to report annually on asset performance and returns since the creation of the iA PAR account.

In it, you will find:

  • New! A simulation of historical returns based on the target asset allocation. 
  • Semi-annual comments from the management team.
  • An annual performance review with economic forecasts and asset allocation strategies.
